A number riddle for you, care to try it?!

Question:

A number riddle for you, care to try it?

I already posted this a couple of weeks ago, but I like it a lot, so I'm posting it again. If you solved it last time, try to give someone new a chance. Also, I've temporarily hidden my Q&A, so don't bother looking at my profile to find the answer.

Here is the riddle:

Start with FIVE
Take away TWO
You end up with FOUR
How is this possible?

Start with FIVE again
Take away THREE
You end up with FIVE
How is this possible?

First correct answer gets TEN big ONES

Good job tsr21. Here is the correct answer:
Start with the word FIVE
Take away TWO letters - remove the letters F and E
You are left with IV, which is FOUR in Roman numerals.
Taking away THREE letters, F, I and E leaves you with only V, which is FIVE in Roman numerals.

Answers:

FIVE minus two letters is IV
FIVE minus three letters is V
