I wonder if this really happened to grandpa, what do you think?!
Question:
I wonder if this really happened to grandpa, what do you think?
Long before I was born, grandpa was a vendor on Wall Street in New York City. He was very successful in making lots of money. During the Great Depression a broker jumped out of a skyscraper's window and landed on grandpa's cart, destroying it and put him out of business.
Grandpa was a gifted musician and played an accordian. Grandma suggested for him to play it and receive donations. She bought grandpa a monkey and trained it to hold a tin cup. This worked out well for over a year.
One day grandpa was seen standing at the corner he played at without his accordian. When asked by a fan, "Why aren't you playing today?" Grandpa replied that he can't play anymore, because his monkey died.
Did this really happen?
Answers:
Haha. Sounds unlikely, but it makes for a good story.
