Is this prank over the top mean?

So this happened to me this morning as I'm driving to work at 5:00am: I'm driving out of my housing development, no one else is around, I go to work really early. I see a woman lying on the sidewalk covered in blood. I whip the car around and run out with my cell phone (in a mild state of panic) and the woman opens her eyes but says nothing. I shakily yell out "oh my god are you ok" and she starts laughing. she says "it's a halloween prank in july" and just keeps laughing. It's fake blood, she's fine. But who was she waiting for, there was NO ONE else around, how long has she been laying in the sidewalk just waiting to freak the hell out of someone? I didn't stop shaking for 20 min afterwards because of the adrenaline and terror. It was one of the scariest moments of my life and I think the prank was really really over the top and mean. what do you think?

well it's comendable that you stopped and offered assistance but if it were real, you may have been a victim as well. I would have called 911, looked around, then cautiously approached. When sher started laughing I would have peed on her.
