What was the longest time you ever took to plan an April Fools Joke?!

Question:

What was the longest time you ever took to plan an April Fools Joke?

I've pulled a few doozies, but they usually took only a day to plan and once, a full day to play out. I'm curious if anyone has ever taken months to pull one off.

Great Mrs. Disney. So what did you do?

Answers:

About 3 days.

A colleague of mine had just been promoted to sales and I sent an e-mail acting as if I was a trademark attorney working out of Cameroon who had done a tenure in the United States.

In order to make it look more realistic, I collaborated with our U.S. office and sent the original mail to them. They then responded putting my colleague in copy indicating that our Europe office handled requests from Cameroon.

Upon my second letter to this new colleague, I outlined a project that was worth 50,000 - 70,000 Euro. He, of course, got very excited and was talking to a bunch of us here in the office. He was, at least, until I asked him to read the name of the Attorney...Sloof Lirpa.

I then asked him to read it backwards. :-D
