I went to a nightclub last weekend and the guy on the door wouldn't let me in 'cos I wasn't wearing a tie.....

...I told him that I wasn't a troublemaker but he explained that they had a dress code and that was it.

So I went back to my car, had a rummage around in the boot and found some jump leads.
I put them around my neck and tried the club again.
The doorman stopped me again and said, "I thought I told you - you need to wear a tie" I said,"but this is the best I could do" He said, "but that's not a tie - they're jump leads".
I said,"No-one's likely to notice in the dark and I promise not to start anything".

You ARE funny! Did you watch the 20/20 episode where they found that bouncers outside nightclubs use their discretion who to let enter and who not to. They found that they often turn plain looking women away and allow only the pretty ones in. When it comes to guys, they allow those with proper ties and loaded wallets.
