I only have two!.
Uranus and Neptune Capricorn in the 3rd!.

No conjunction in a chart won't stop the planets from operating and actually, the planet will operate with its own energy at 100%!. A conjunction is usually good since two planets combine their energies!.
Now, planets may not be in conjunction but can still be in Parallel of Declination which is the same as a conjunction and just as powerful!.
Having said this, some planets like Mars, Saturn and Pluto and sometimes Uranus find it difficult to blend their energies in a positive manner!. also, other aspects aspecing to these non-conjunct planet will still bring it to life one way or another!.
As for Mercury /Cancer conjunct MC, makes you a go-getter with a great capacity to adapt to fluctuating circumstances whether in profession and / or career!. This makes you a born communicator, one who almost always deal with words in their business or professional interests!.
This is a good position for ambasador or teacher but, need to develop a better sense of humour!. You tend to be a little stern!.This may be public speaking, writing, or even message carrying!. It enable them to bring words (Mercury) to the public (MC)!.
If any aspects afflict Mercury at the same time, you may dislike what you are doing or have problems getting your ideas across!.
Capricorn in 3rd makes you a good initiator of new ideas on a practical level!.
