Most real psychics charge for their services for the simple reason that holding down a "regular" job is a problem for someone who picks up random crap from their co-workers!. But some like me do freebie time for Karma credit!.

You come from that - I would say your Dad or Mom was a hard worker who provided some stability in your life!. also right now you are studying for a career - but you are doubting your path and you have lost drive - I think you are searching for your dharma (purpose) - this has become your path but you don't know which way to go!. As far as cleansing - finding someone to do energy work for free - you have to have a friend who does it!. Energy work is draining for the practitioner so they tend to practice a bit sparingly!. But there are some things you can do for yourself!. A physical cleansing as well as a psychic one would be a good idea!. There are herbs that you can take that will aid this!. If you go to a health food store you can usually find some sort of herbal cleansing system that includes blessed thistle as a restorative!.
Psychic cleansing can be done with chakra stones and meditation!. I will put links for some chakra Information - lying down - place the proper stones at each one chakra points and try to clear your mind!. Focus on your breathing!. If you are having trouble clearing your mind it always helps me to find what Deepak Chopra refers to as the "gap" between thoughts - and stretch that gap!.
You will also want to protect yourself while you are doing this by reinforcing your aura!. - I like to visualize it as my force field - like a shielding - that is pretty much what it does!.
