Question: Is it true that a bigger planet can overrule the effects of a smaller planet (astrologically speaking)!?
I read this in one of my old astrology books!. So for example, if Saturn is meant to be causing you some crap with a tough transit, but Jupiter is making very favorable aspects, would Jupiter's benefits be felt more and overrule the negativity of another!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

That's only true to a certain extent!.!.!.
I mean, in the example you gave, Scientifically, Jupiter is the largest 'planet', and it happens to be kind of 'happy-go-lucky'!. Hard aspects with Jupiter are rarely THAT bad!. I have Jupiter square Capricorn sun, and the main issue is learning balance!. That isn't such a big deal!.
But, that's not always the case, depending on the planet!.
For example, the Moon is slightly larger than Pluto, but bad aspects of Pluto to the moon, will show Pluto traits more, because the Moon is absorbant and reflective in it's nature, and Pluto is penetrating!.
Or, moon opposition or square Neptune, can really bring out bad sides of Neptune, even though the Moon is alot smaller!.
The nature of the Planet is equally important!.
Another way to thinking about this, and the power difference of the planets:
The Personal Planets: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Moon, Sun!. They are the inner portion of the solar system, and are the smallest(except Sun)!. They effect humanity on a personal level!. They are best for psychological interpretation!.
The Outer Planets: Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus or Pluto!. They stay the same sign for years, and define generations of people!. They affect humanity of a massive scale!. They are best for mundane astrology and prediction!.
Ofcourse, this can change depending on circumstances!. Saturn or Jupiter in first house for example, would be more personalized for the individual!. But the personal planets are never generational (big power)!.
Speed of the planet, is also a factor!. Fast moving planets make quick rounds in their helpfulness or destruction, where the slower moving planets tend to stick around for a while!. It's similar to weight lifting, or excercise and it's effect!. Fast burns fat, but slow builds muscle!. More powerful to go slowly, like the outer planets!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It's not just size!.!.!.it's also distance!. B/c that affects energy even more so!. It's all about planet placement at the time you are born and I personally believe when you are conceived plays a role!. Is Jupiter in your ascendant!? If you have attributes that are more affected by Jupiter then yes it could overrule!. A well placed Saturn can balance the affects of Jupiter, vice versa!. But it more with placement in the universe, your ascendants, and your birth chart to understand if there is an appropriate balance!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
