Let's say 4-5 years general interest, then 3-4 genuine effort, and they visit a real astrologer, how beneficial might that visit be!?
Because I've got some really difficult questions, and I can't seem to get them resolved, with google!. How do you find a genuinely intelligent, and accurate astrologer!? How do you decipher!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well!.!.!. one possibility is asking around to friends and acquaintances!.!.!. see who has had a good reading with an astrologer they liked!.!.!.
If that doesn't work, try contacting the NCGR (National Council for Geo-Cosmic Research)!. The NCGR certifies astrologers!. A Level IV certification is the "professional astrologer" certification!. Level V is for teaching astrologers!. Perhaps the NCGR may be able to tell give you a list of who is Level IV certified in your neighborhood or area!. I know other countries have professional organizations but I know little about them!. The NCGR is US-based, (as is the AFA, American Federation of Astrologers)!.
Another possibility: if there is a New Age or "Mystical/Spiritual" bookstore or learning center in your area (or even a Yoga Center) there might be a bulletin board where astrologers advertise or post their business cards!. Get a few numbers and make some phone calls!. Interview the astrologers you talk to on the phone!. A few minutes conversation about astrology will tell you if you feel comfortable with them!. Trust your gut feelings when you talk to them!.
You could always Google or Yahoo search the web for astrologers!. Many have their own web sites, with a price list, etc etc etc!.
Now if you live in the NYC area, I do professional readings and have done so since 1986!. So there's always me!. But there are a lot of astrologers in the NYC area!.!.!.
The cost of astrology readings vary!. They can go from $75 to $300 or more!. Me, I charge $125 for a basic reading, which to me includes a natal reading, a look at the next three years or so into future events and possibilities, and I record all readings and give a copy to the client!. Right now I use a tape recorder, but I am going digital soon!. Insist on a recording!. A reading contains a LOT of information!. Some very well known astrologers (the ones that publish books, etc) have a 6-to-9 month waiting list and these tend to charge a lot more!.

My personal opinion is that finding a genuine, intelligent, accurate, and spiritually powerful astrologer is like finding a valuable gem!. It is very rare and requires much effort, and you have to be in the right place at the right time!. Perhaps this is that time for you!. Very good point!. Exactly what gets "studied" to be an astrologer!? How can one tell which is worth the money!? What are the qualifications of a good astrologer!? Experience or accuracy!? How can they be compared!? Where is the PhD!? None will submit to testing!. Every astrologer will give you a different reading despite having the same basic information!. I would want the best for my money!. So who is the best of the best!? The number one in the country!?
