The trine is of course a beneficial aspect, however to an individual of weak character, the trine aspect within their chart can end up acting as a crutch for the individual I suppose, such that the person in question would choose if at all possible to avoid experiences which bring more adversely aspected elements of their charts into play, preferring to coast along on the easier trine energy and experiences which involve that!. This could end up being detrimental for the individual as they would generally only involve themselves in experiences which they were comfortable with and which were easy for them, rather than choosing to work on more difficult aspects of their chart!.!.!.!.!.avoidant personality type I guess!.!.!.therefore this person would not reap the benefit of learning experiences from more challenging aspects of their charts!.

I have lots of trines in my chart, 6 fire trines associated with Jupiter and or Sagitarrius, 4 sextiles, and five conjunctions!. At first glance, I've got a *pretty* comfy birth chart!.!.!.
But, my trines are only nice in theory!. My most important aspects are my squares!. My Jupiter in Aries has a hard square to my Capricorn Sun!. This aspects is often interpreted as an overacheiver or a person who doesn't know their limites!. But, as long as I pay attention to my limits, it can actually be used as the spark for activating those dormant fire trines and sextiles!. That and my saturn squaring my ascendant!.
I know you didn't ask about squares, but I'm just using this as an example for why trines alone aren't enough!. Squares and oppositions are really very necessary for utilizing the trines properly!. Potential is as potential does, and trines only outline potential!.!.!.it's the squares and oppositions that win the cake IMO!. Without those, I'd just be this bottle of potential!.!.!.and what good is that!?
For example!.!.!.a Grand Trine is considered to be a very nice aspect to have!.!.!.the person generally is forecasted to go through life very easily!. I have to agree with On Sabatical on this as well!
Though trines are always thought to be beneficial and harmonious!.!.!.too many of them can create too much comfort and ease for a person - no adversity, no challenges!.!.!.!.no way to learn the hard way or by experience there!.!.!.!.These individuals (depending on the placements of ones chart) take much longer to 'grow' as a person - no hardships to work through and overcome can equal 'spoiled rotten'!.!.!.!.I would think it would effect them more so by the end of their lives when they have realized how much they have missed!.!.!.!.
These people would (unfortunately) have a harder way to go of it - in terms of personal growth and wisdom!.!.!.they would lack the ability to learn by experience and possibly never understand empathy or sympothy!.!.!.!.!.'weak character' could also surmise that one could possibly be more likely to refuse a challenge and/or refuse helping others if the work were too difficult for them!.!.!.!.!.
These people may be seen as lucky - but I would think they would most definitely have a harder time growing as a person than those with a bunch of squares in their charts!.!.!.!.!.!?
