In terms of transiting Pluto and the rest of us, yes Sagittarius is about to get a much needed break finally from the tearing down and transformation of pluto's influence, which I can assure you is *not* felt as a generational minor influence when it's transiting natal planets!. Provided that Pluto is transiting one's natal planets though, one is still going to feel the effects of this planet regardless of what Sun sign the individual is!. Those who do not have Sun in Capricorn will not have the joy and delight of the identity crises, self doubt and self scrutiny that Pluto conj!. Sun can bring!. So for those of us with Sun in Sagittarius, that part of the cycle is over for us!.
Pluto in Capricorn in general, but in particular to Sagittarius, who have just completed the Pluto conj Sun aspect, and Gemini who have just finished up with Pluto opposed Sun will be representative of taking those lessons which have been learned by the Pluto transit to the Sun (or whatever else has been transited) and putting them into action to produce concrete results!.!.!.we are moving from a mutable sign to a cardinal one after all!.
For Capricorn and Cancer, they can expect some serious turnaround in the way they express their core energy, the way they go about seeking and obtaining ego gratification, what they think they are, and what they actually are!. The natives of these two Sun signs *will* be very different people when Pluto is done with them!. Cancerians are likely going to have to learn to be a little more self possessed and controlled as far as their self expression goes, Capricorn will likely learn when and where that control is useful and necessary, and also where relinquishing some of that control might actually be for the greater good for them!. In general, one would look to the house placement of Pluto in the chart, and also to the aspects it is making to personal objects in the birth chart to see where Pluto's transformative influence will be most strongly felt!. Those with no aspects to natal planets from transiting Pluto will likely not feel this as strongly as those who do have these aspects obviously, but will still experience transformation, rebirth and change to some degree in the house which is being transited by Pluto!.
As far as Pluto in Cap's influence on a global level, expect huge upheavals in the areas which Cap represents: authority figures, establishments, the status quo, traditions, big business!. I highly doubt that considering the state of the world today that Pluto in Cap will bring a new found respect for these institutions!. Contrary to that, he will likely bring the decay and dissolution of any of these things which is no longer relevant to humanity today and our evolution, to make room for something more conducive to our progress!.
EDIT: One more thing in regards to the direction taken by humanity as a whole during Pluto's transit through Capricorn is that I think it's important to be mindful of the fact that Capricorn is followed by Aquarius, and as such Pluto's transit through Capricorn will be preparing us for it's entry to Aquarius, radical change and upheaval of technology, humanity/humanitarianism, and astrology:-) It seems to me that this transit could pan out a few different ways, depending upon what other transits will be occuring throughout Pluto's passages through both signs!. Leo is all about making yourself known, and the individual!.!.!.Hippies, Personal Awareness, ect!.!.!.Then the Virgo Plutonians, were concerned about Politics and how to change the world, ect!.!.
One good example for pluto in libra, and entering into Scorpio was the berlin wall falling!.!.!.and final outburst of partnership (libra) from years of opressiveness (scorpio)!.!.!.Once the wall came down, unvieled secrets were abound!.!.!.
