I cannot see too much into the future unfortunately!. Like you, I truly do wish from the bottom of my heart that war in several parts of the world will end soon, and that includes Sri Lanka!.
If I ask a general question without specifics I am usually given no answers!. I tried to rephrase it by asking whether war will end in 2, 3, 5, or 7 years!. I unfortunately received a "thumbs down" for all!.
You will live long, and there is a strong chance that things will change in Sri Lanka, and you will live to see it!. Afterall, nobody thought Germany will become united again, nobody thought communism will end in Russia, nobody thought India and Pakistan will get independence from the British, nobody thought Apartheid will end in South Africa, and finally nobody thought they'd live to see a black man as president of the United States!. But they all happened!.
Have faith!. It truly works!. Things will change!. We will live to see many of those changes, and the rest, by our future!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

This war has been going on in one shape or another for many generations!. Many people no longer understand what the fighting is about!.
I do foresee a brief period of fragile peace in Sri Lanka within your lifetime!.
