Question: Is there only an aspect when two planets are within a certain degree of each other!?
For those who look at their birth chart online, how come two planets(ex!. Sun and Moon) are in the same element but the website doesn't list your Sun and Moon as a Trine aspect!? Or is that not the way it works!?

This has been bugging me for some time!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
It depends on the degree they fall in!.!.!.!.for example : if the Sun is 23 degrees in Cancer and the Moon is 8 degrees in Scorpio then that would make them 105 degrees apart , which means that there is no aspects between them because the trine means that the two planets should be 120 degrees apart !.!.5 degrees more or less (the allowed orb differs from one astrologer to another)!.!.!.there would be a Trine between them if the Moon was between 18 degrees and 28 degrees in Scorpio !.!.!.!.

Same thing goes for Conjunction , but the allowed orb for the conjunction is 10 degrees more or less !. Example :

- Moon : 3 degrees in Scorpio

Sun : 22 degrees in Scorpio

=

No Conjunction

- Moon : 3 degrees in Scorpio

Sun : 12 degrees in Scorpio

=

ConjunctionWww@Enter-QA@Com

Some astrologers will say no more than 10° to be considered significant and others will say 6° or less!. It's a matter of personal opinion and experience in deciding whether or not two planets can be considered within the orb of a specific aspect!. An orb is the distance by which a planet is allowed to deviate from the exact aspect!. The modern standard sets an orb according to the aspect, but traditional techniques allow for the prominence of the planet involved, so that an aspect between the Sun and Moon, for example, is allowed a larger orb than an aspect between Mercury and Venus!. The more exact the aspect, the stronger the influence, the looser the aspect the weaker the influence!.

Here are the five major and four minor common aspects and their standard orbs:

Conjunction - 8°
Opposition - 8°
Trine - 12°
Square - 8°
Sextile - 4°
Semi-sextile - 2°
Semi-square - 2°
Sesquiquadrate - 2°
Quincunx - 2°Www@Enter-QA@Com
