I've always seen a lot of generalizations about Sun signs, but not as rampant as it is lately!. Come on people, give me a break!. I don't like to wade through a million generalities about who's best, sexiest, meanest, bossiest, weakest, most likely to wear guyliner, most likely to have PMS, most likely to like toast, and least likely to have a brain!.

its all nuts!how can you fit 6 billion people in 12 categories when we are all so different!!
at the end of the day most if not all the characteristics used in sign desrciptions are typical human characteristics and we all have them at some point or other in our lives!.!.!.its just life and we are humans with emotions!!
i think there might be something to astrology i!.e it might be true but there is soooo much depth into it that even professional astrologers are continuously learning new things!!
i dont trust many well-known websites with their descriptions either because its them that impose typical stereotyping!!
people should understand that to judge someone you need sun/moon/mercury/venus/mars and ascendant signs THE LEAST!!.!.!.and this would not even give you a full picture of that person as you need to look at the hoses to see whether these signs have more effects!!
but i suppose this horoscope section is visited by many peopel new to astrology but hopefully they come to realise the endlessness of this field :)

Well, sometimes, the people just don't know anything about Astrology, and so they come here, hoping to find out about their charts, sun signs etc!. I don't mind those people!. They simply don't know better!.
But, other times, people that know better do the same thing!. It's not enough of a reason to get me mad, though I do wish people would stop using their sun signs as a tool to show off or put down others!. The questions are pretty much harmless and so I don't find myself screaming in frustration over them, but those people are giving other inexperienced astrologers the wrong concept of Astrology!.

yes i think we should, generalising is unfair in many cases but its needed to make life simple!.!. i agree with whisper i think its mostly the people who are new to astrology and are just starting to know the bases, which is fair enough!.
i do get sick of 'whos good in bed' ect ect, but its also a mattter of fun, but i dont think the answers are logical because really its a matter of opinion!.!. i think for astrology we need to look at it objectively and open mindedly and not in prejudice eyes

It doesn't really bother me, although it does seem that it has been happening a lot more lately, but if people really want to ask those questions!.!.!.!.I don't see why they shouldn't be allowed!. Sometimes they don't even know anything else about astrology and if they don't, I don't think people should really get mad at that!.!.!.

why would you even care!? as you said they generalize, and its in general meaning its not specific to a person!.!.
almost everyone here already knows there are other things in the chart like the moon, venus, and aspects etc!.!.!. even then people are still different, we make different choices and we grow differently as an individual!.
why would you be affected by something that you know is not true, should we really build our reputation based on our signs!? Okay, this is not going to be popular, and I mean no personal offense, but REAL astrology questions get NO answers! I've seen a lot of the regulars post very good, thought provoking questions and get one, maybe two answers!. (Or trolled half to death)
Generalized, cutesy questions, and stupid, senseless polls ("What kind of latte are you and what's your sign"!.!.!.duh) get more answers!. Because people are lazy and don't want to do the hard work for the hard ones!.
But questions like "Which sign is the cutest" gets tons of answers, and everyone here (including me, occasionally) that posted is guilty of answering them!.
If you invest your time in the silly questions and don't take on the hard ones, you're just getting back what you put into it!.
