If getting over someone means forgetting them forever, then never!. I've come to realize that I forget old loves for long periods of time, but then I find myself remembering them because of something said or done or whatever---just like any memory!. I don't dwell on it or anything though, I just smile think of the good times and go on with my life!.
When it is happening--the hurt is fresh from the break up, you just gotta get yourself busy doing something anything----you mourn (listen to sad sad songs) and then you think of all the things that weren't so great and you give yourself more time to mourn and then you head back out there!. You move on--that is it!.
Eventually, you might carry them all in those little corners of your heart knowing that the "love" you shared with them at the time was real and that even though you are no longer with the person, you will always love them!. You are thankful for the love they gave you and for the love you gave them!. You come to realize that because of those "lost loves" that were not quite complete you will always cherish being with the person who completes you and whom you complete!. You thank them for all the things that they taught you about yourself!. You will always be grateful to those "lost loves" who walked with you on your way to your greatest love--your forever love!. Thats me anyway!. Luckily, I didn't have but 2 serious 1/2 relationships before I met my dh at 22yrs old!. I say 1/2 relationships, because they both lacked something--each had what the other was missing in fact---and the only whole relationship I have ever had is with my DH!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
