Question: Can someone clearly outline the meaning of the midheaven and the descendent for me!?
How do they differ from eachother!? How would you describe what planetary movements/positions they are defined by and what their influences are on a person!?
Are the signs they are both in just the same as the sign that rules the house that they fall on!?

The Descendant is the cusp of the 7th house and is always 180 degrees from the Ascendant, so it's meaning is exactly the opposite of the Ascendant!. The Descendant refers to the urge to form relationships and the skills and attitudes surrounding the drive to successfully coexist with other people!. Most aspects that are formed from the Ascendant also end up aspecting the Descendant as well, which is why you don't see them discussed much!. However, the sign on the Descendant describes the energy you bring into creating and maintaining meaningful relationships where ideas and values can be exchanged and the type of role you play in those relationships!. The Descendant has a Libra flavor and is the place where we want to be inclusive, social and available!.
Not all relationships are rosey!. On the negative side, the Descendant also refers to our enemies and people who oppose our interests!.
