they have different looks
but, scorpio eyes is called piercing because you can actually see it penetrating to you, investigating, feeling you out!. not a knife that will "pierce" through your body lol

In my opinion I always thought "piercing eyes" as in "serious" looking!. Piercing doesn't always have to mean "cold" or "looking through ones soul"!.!.!.not how others portray scorpio rising!.
