I'd say that it's likely because sun sign compatibility doesn't take into consideration the complexity of our selves and our birth charts!. So maybe the sun signs aren't compatible, but the moon signs are!.!.!.these people will relate well emotionally!. Good aspects to Jupiter would indicate that these people share similar philosophies and attitudes in regards to religion etc!. Maybe there's synastry involving outer planets or the nodes, indicating that this is a karmic relationship and that these two people no matter how poorly matched they seem to be have a past life bond!. And of course we can't forget Venus/Mars synastry, which is really all most people care about anyhow!.
