Do you try to avoid any emotional discussions and would rather pretend that it doesn't exist!? How do I get you to discuss things important issues without you getting so upset!?

I think that they would rather 'just get on with things' then dwell on them and not focus on the emotional aspect!. this is because they process emotions in such a quick fast way about anything, they are very descisvive and hate to dwell!.
when you said you thought that aries like girls who call them out on their BS, this is not exactly true - they do not like naggers, what they like is someone who can stick up for themselves, and not be a doormat!. So when aries mistreates them they will not fall prey but they can hold their own!. I was with an aries and he said 'i want to keep hanging with you but i dont want a relationship'
and i said to him 'well thats nice, i don't think we should hangout because i would ratehr be with someone wo wants to be with me"
and he said "nah i do what to be with you"
and that whiped him into shape!. they like to see what they can get away with and if they get away with everything their conquest is over, and they go else where, they like women who are challenging, that are very loving but not clingy and hard to get!. Omg! Who ever told you that Aries like it when you call them out to their own BS!?!!?!!? They hate it! Okay, let me tell you this, Aries do not like confrontation!. Your best emailing, texting, maybe even writting a letter and have him read it when your not there!. Have him respond back to you in this method or he may even face you and discuss your text, letter, email, etc!.

These are not typical traits of Aries!. Most likely what you are dealing with is someone with a watery rising sign like Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces!. My money would be on Pisces!.!.!.they are so dreamy that even the simplest daily routine can be too much reality for them! ;-)
