My gf wasn't into astrology but I introduced it to her!. And I Found her ex's natal chart which stated that he had sun square pluto!. Before I read this she talked very bad about her ex!. And then I brought his natal chart up and showed her the sun square pluto aspect and read it myself first and found it so accurate!. It was stating the same things that my gf had said about him!. And then I gave it to her to read it and she also said it was pretty accurate!. So Pluto is a very important planet!.

there are many asteroids in the asteroid belt that are part of one's natal chart!. For example one of them is Chiron!. There are many more that you can find in your natal chart!. You can go here and find out:

So to top it off, Pluto not being a planet has its own scientific reasons that you can research yourself!. But in astrology it is very important because nothing has change about it!. It is still part of our solar system which is the closest and most accurate we can get to ourselves!. the sun and moon are not planets either and they are used in astrology!. And to David M who said astrology is only the signs!. Astrology is much more than that!. Yes people show the characteristics of their sign, but it's the placement of the planets and the aspects those planets make with one another that make up your personality, determine how you interact with people, show your weaknesses and your strong points, and basically map your life!. Same way how the Moon isn't a planet but rules over Cancer, Pluto rules over Scorpio!. The Sun isn't a planet but rules over Leo!. Same thing really!. See, this may be a bit off topic here, but what I find the most interesting is what body areas each sign rules!. To assume that Pluto's influence has diminished as a result of it being deemed a sub-planet requires we accept the false notion that the influence comes directly from the planet!. It does not!. The actual physical planets or their path (the ecliptic) has no more affect on our lives than the numbers painted on the face of a clock have on the clock's mechanism!. The influence is in the Earth!. The planets are mere hands of a complex clock!. Their apparent location against the background stars, as well as their relationship to each other (the aspects), are markers for the Earth clock of which we are inexorably a part!. The influence is in the Earth, not in the planets or the background stars!.

Basically they found that the signs had characteristics, so they created a whole plan based on the planets!.
Now they are all cringing since pluto has been downgraded, and they are sure to either downgrade or find more!.
