Question: Why ARE virgos so selfish!?
My dad is really really sick ( 700 miles away from me) but my mom got mad when he woke her up from her nap when the nurse came by the house!. He wanted her there to hear what the nurse said!.
THEN--he has a fever, in a LOT of pain, so the nurse called the dr and he called in a new prescription!. My mom was "too tired" to go get it, ( he woke her up from her nap, y'know) and said she would go tomorrow!.

It isn't that she is a Virgo!.!.when my husband was sick in the hospital and almost died I never left the room for 6 days and I am Virgo!.!.!.it is that your mom is just selfish and maybe doesn't love him very much!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
This story has nothing to do with Virgos being selfish!. In general Virgos are not as selfish as anybody else!. I think one of the three of you might be very selfish!. you don't say your mom's circumstances !.!.!.maybe she was genuinely tired (of working a full day and doing the housework)!. Your dad lacked patience!. He could have asked the pharmacy if they had home delivery !.!.!.or could have ask a friends to do that or wait until your mom woke up from her nap!.
Try not to be too judgemental and understand each person's circumstances!.
I don't think your dad had a life threatening condition, otherwise the nurse would have called 911 and get an abulance to bring him to the hospital!. So!.!.!.your dad could have waited a few more minutes or until "tomorrow"!.

jperrrrit is just wrong!. You seem genuinely concerned about your father and are frustrated being so far away, you feel she isn't doing enough for him ( which it seems she is not) He is apparently very ill if a nurse is coming by the house, he must be to ill too make the ride to the doctor!.plus, a fever is a serious thing when he is already sick!.

Virgos aren't, as someone else said, any more or less selfish than any other sign!. They are very practical, however!. So unless your mother absolutely hates your father (in which case you and other siblings need to make some plans), she may have decided that his need was not as great as he'd expressed or that hers for rest was greater!. Or, and this happens a lot, she may be in denial!. If she doesn't admit he's very ill, by some unexplained magic, he won't be!. I also agree that you need to get both sides of any story before you judge!.
I am sorry you are so far away from your father!. I was across the country when one of my sisters died!. I almost could not stand it!. Is there any way you can visit your father, check him out yourself, talk to him while he's well enough to respond!? If so, do it!. Don't wait until he's gone!. Virgos aren't generally selfish!. What you are doing is generalizing and stereotyping the sun signs based on one person you know and this ISN'T fair for for the other virgos out there!. The placement of the planets in a person's chart has much more influences on a person than the sun signs anyways!. So please don't stereotype people base only on sun/star signs!.

I know that there is always a goodness in a person and so your mom has to have that goodness in her too!. Just talk it out with her, because she may have her reason for what she's doing!. Now regarding your father, I agree with the person above me!. If your mom won't make the effort to help him out, why won't you do it instead!. You must be a really great daughter to care so much about your father - you deserve my utmost respect!. But along with this care, do do something please, otherwise you'll end up in regret!. My uncle just passed away not too long ago and his 8 children are all at regret because they haven't done anything decent as his children - never show him how much they love him, but only causing him trouble!.
