I'm a Cancer who likes a Gemini -why?!

If you survey your friends and family, you'll find that most people are dating/married to a person of the same element (eg!. Taurus Capricorn and Virgo are Earth signs) or of the sign next to theirs (right next to you are Gemini and Leo)!. The only exception is Virgo+Scorpio, that keeps turning up!.
They share similiar qualities, that make it easy to relate or understand!.
