The so-called astrological ages are determined by the location of the vernal point against the background of the constellations!. The vernal point is that point where the ecliptic, the apparent path of the Sun around the Earth crosses the celestial equator, the Earth's equator projected outwards, in the east!. This point if measured against the stars of the constellations appears to be moving backwards from Pisces to Aquarius!. In astronomy this is called the precession of the equinoxes!. When it is definitely in the constellation Aquarius we will have arrived in "The Age of Aquarius!." It takes roughly 2000 years on average, but it depends on the size of the constellation, to pass from one constellation to another!.

Right now, most say we are in the age of Pisces, but since the constellations do not have agreed upon boundaries, we could be anywhere from in Aquarius to several hundred years away from it!.

Pisces is a feminine sign so the movement would be from feminine to masculine as Aquarius is a masculine sign!. Signs are different from constellations!.

The song sings about moving to an age of peace and harmony on the dubious grounds that the sign Aquarius represents those things!. Aquarius is a human sign and is often called a "humane sign," probably by mistake!. Aquarius is the "my way or the highway" sign (the sign - not everybody with the Sun in the that sign)!. It is fixed air and it represents freedom and defines that as the freedom to agree with Aquarius!. The old Soviet Union and Red China are considered "ruled" by Aquarius!.

It is said to be the sign of revolution and upheaval because modern astrologers say it is ruled by Uranus!. For almost 2000 years it was ruled by the conservative, and stodgy Saturn!. It is not the revolution, but the dictatorship that inevitably follows the revolution that is represented by Aquarius, the USA being one of the very few if not the only exception to that observation!.

The song is sung by a bunch of dope crazed hippies waiting for the world to take care of them!. Catchy tune, lousy astrology, worse philosophy!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It makes for a good song, for one!. And also the traits associated with the Age of Aquarius fit in a whole lot better with the New Age Movement!.!.!.!.it was supposed to be a more peaceful age with people becoming more spiritual, even as they turned away from organized religions!.

Unfortunately for them, most astronomers agree that the Age of Aquarius won't start for another 600 years or so!.

But it's still a cool song!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

your right, its the end of Pisces and into Aquarius age
from masculine to feminine energy, not that's its going to take over it was thought to strike a balance ,a more peaceful time!.
this was a large part of the newage movement which peaked in the late sixties!.again in 89!.in fact its never really stopped!.
its still there!.free expression and it it was done without drugs!.
its what i rememberWww@Enter-QA@Com
