What's an Afflicted Planet, and how do you know if you have one in the chart!
Question: What's an Afflicted Planet, and how do you know if you have one in the chart!?
Answers:
Any planet receiving an opposition or a square from Mars or Saturn are considered the worst affliction!.
Remember S'A'N'D' that any planet conjunct 29 deg Taurus, or any other critical degree are also considered afflicted!.
Planets in bad houses like the 6th , 8th and 12th are not afflicted but act in a negative manner!. also , certain fixed starts are dangerous when conjunct mars, Moon or Saturn!.

Well!.!.!.!.I have never heard of an afflicted planet before!. I think they all get alone fine since each one counts in a birth chart!.
But, I do know about afflicted signs!. I don't think I know a person without one!.
An afflicted sign is where you have polar opposites in your chart!. For me, it's that my Mars is in Cancer and My Rising is Capricorn!. They give me conflicted emotions (especially when the moon is out!!!!)and because these two signs conflict in the Zodiac, it sometimes gives me a conflicting personality!.
Any polar opposites in your chart are difficult to deal with!. But, like I said I don't know a person without 'em!. We all have conflicting (have I said that word enough!?) feelings and it's really worth it if you can balance them - then you have the best of both! :)

An afflicted planet is badly placed by house, sign and heavily assailed by other planets!.
