If your natal Moon is 'Besieged' (between 2 malefic planet) is this bad !

Question: If your natal Moon is 'Besieged' (between 2 malefic planet) is this bad and how do you read this !?
Answers:
Don't forget Stephen Forrest, Grant Lewi, and Daniel Radyar!

My is between mars and venus, oddly enough!. If I saw say someone's moon between saturn and pluto (malefics) I would look to see if they were in aspect!. also, I'd know that one of them would be oriental (either saturn or pluto) and that gives prominence!. Saturn oriental can show that the person has much patience in career matters!. They have tolerance and are sort of slow and steady!. There may be connections with the elderly!. With pluto oriental there's a need to be in control!. Often these people get where they get by who they know not what they've done!. Famous projections!.

Honestly have not thought about it much!. I wouldn't think it's bad if they aren't in aspect!. I don't generally pay attention to these things but perhaps I could start and see what I get!. I wonder, what about between to benefic planets!. All things to think about!.!.!.!.!.!.!.:DWww@Enter-QA@Com

I found a link here!.

Hello Left-T

There is so much to learn in Astrology!.!.!.I never heard about this before!.!.!.from what the link describes!.!.!.

My moon is between Jupiter and Venus!.!.!.so it is between 2 benefic planets!.!.!.!.but I have no idea how this is playing out!.!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

That's a good question!. One person says it is not used anymore is dead wrong!. Their is a book on containment which is a newer adage instead of "Besieged" !.

All planets are between two planets and they all have a meaning!. I gather that in your example, Moon will separate from a malefic and then apply to another malefics!. It makes sense that a situation is not going to improve anytime soon!.

Edit!.!.!.Ryan!.!.!.I checked up and this containment stated that you will change from a very favorable situation to just a good situation , a little less beneficial but not bad!.

And it does play a part in natal astrology !. When the Moon transits these position, or by primary or secondary direction, those situations promised will affect that period in time!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

"Besieged" is an old term rarely used in natal astrology any longer, but it can be telling!. The usual meaning is a planet that is between Mars and Saturn!. Some might argue all three have to be in the same sign!. Since every planet in a chart is between two others, I wouldn't use anything but Mars and Saturn or Venus and Jupiter which would mean the planet is favorably besieged!. Mercury is not, by nature malefic, and therefore I would hesitate to use it this way!.

William Lilly described it this way: " !.!.!. it represents in questions (a horary) a Man going out of God's blessing into the warm Sun!." If anyone understands the second part of that phrase, let me know!.

The idea is that no matter which way the planet goes, it runs into trouble!. If the astrologer directs the planet with primary directions, solar arc directions or even secondary progressions, that planet will confront a malefic!. On the other hand if the planet is between Venus and Jupiter no matter which way it goes it will run into good fortune!.

Depending on the distance between the malefics and the planet besieged this configuration can show up in millions of charts, and not every person is doomed to suffer whatever the planet represents!. Unless it is very tight, it is unlikely to play a major role in the nativity!. If it is an major significator in a horary, it is very important!. If for example the question is: Should I take the job offer or stay where I am," and the querent's significator is besieged unfavorably, it means no matter what he does, he's skunked!. Conversely if the same significator is between Jupiter and Venus, no matter what he does it will work out well!.

As a partial aside, if we look at Charles Manson's chart (data below), and limit our observation to the 7 traditional planets (i!.e!. don't use Uranus, Neptune or Pluto), every planet in his chart is besieged!. Saturn, however is in it own sign of Aquarius!. Still !.!.!.

>> Don't forget Stephen Forrest, Grant Lewi, and Daniel Radyar! (sic)<<

I think he means Dane Rudhyar!. I doubt Rudhyar would know the meaning of besieged (I know he's dead), and if he did he would misrepresent it and criticize its use!. Modern astrologers are not good sources for traditional understanding!.
