If you know nothing about astrology and don't believe in it, don't bother answering!.!.!. and don't answer with basic Sun sign compatibility either!. We're beyond that clearly since we know what our charts say!. And there's more to compatibility than just Sun signs!.
He's not what you would call a typical Pisces, not shy, quite the contrary!. I'm actually the shy one!.!.!. not very shy but defintiely muted compared to him!. I'm serious, he's the class clown!.

Any of us who may be hanging about trying to help need 3 things to answer these astrology questions : Birth time,date and place!. The partial info you list is not enough to get the depth you are asking for!.
Edit: Then yes, you need to offer degrees of the planets placings in the sign and the rising degree with the house system!. When you ask about 2 people together you ask about aspects which have orbs and therefore the degrees are needed!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well since your boyfriend's rising is in Sag, it means that you're going to see him as a Sag!. Which means that he'll be acting like one, at least what other people can tell!. Might explain why he isn't like the "typical pisces"!.

I prefer the doing the charts myself instead of relying on tohers info!. I have seen too many differences and mistakes when the info is transmitted in writing!.
