This is a listed as a human factor that assists the belief in astrology!.
Do you believe that the "self-fulfilling" prophesy theory is applicable to astrological precepts!? If so, why/why not!?

I suppose it could be a factor in the case of predictive astrology, however this still doesn't disprove astrology as it can be used just as effectively to observe the conditions of the individual's past and present as it can be used to predict possible trends in the individual's future!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I would always wonder about those people that DON'T believe in astrology and how it affects them!. I know plenty of none believers and yet they still have the tell tell characteristics of their signs!. I think that in the case of astrology, it wouldn't do skeptics any good to only study those that believe in it but it would prove so much more to focus mainly on those that don't!. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if the laws of astrology can be seen in people that don't even believe in it then it can't be efficient only because of self-fulfilling prophecies!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
One day I went to see astrologer ; after I gave her my D o B she look my planets and she said ;; Your mother is very sick and I am sorry but your mother will die at the end of November ; she stop and look at me ;; and I said yes my mother is very sick ; she has cancer but I think she will be dead by the end of September ;; and she said ;; no by the end of November ; She could have not provoke the illness of my mother because she was already very sick and yes my mother died Nov the 26 ; so I believe astrology is very reliable when its made by someone who knows her stuff and I do not believe you can provoke a event just by your way of thinking ; but you can be miserable by your way of thinking ; on the latter I agreeWww@Enter-QA@Com
I think!.!.!.that folks are on the "wheel"!.!.!.er, karma or whatever you want to call it!. While we are "stuck" there in our minds, things like astrology, etc, WORK!. They gives us a way to understand why life is so darn WEIRD, help us to understand ourselves better, and others too, lessening judgments a bit!.
Astrology was brought forth for this very reason, by the Vedics in India, like over 8,000 yrs ago!.
Now, if one manages to get OFF the "wheel" of life, ie, out of the mind's projections or illusions,[enlightenment!?] well, then, I don't believe astrology works anymore!. :-)

Indeed you could say that this often feeds into astrology!.But not everyone is susceptible to this!.Just think,if I told you that stepping in a pool of milk and touching a hot toaster was a good idea today and you believed me,would that change the fact that you would get electricuted!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
Maybe to a certain extent like anything else, but I'm somewhat of a fatalist and I believe that there are just some things that ARE going to happen and that some of them DO wind up aligning with astrology!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

When I wake up and am feeling off center I do check my transits!. If I see that there's transiting Moon squared my Moon I understand that there's things I need to do to counter that feeling of being off center!. I know what I need to do to cheer myself up!. Astrology isn't an excuse for wallowing in a weird state of mind!.
As for self fulfilling prophecy, I have a difficult chart, because I knew my default settings weren't in my best interest I was able to check myself before acting on impulse!. Therefore, I don't have an arrest record, never been charged or booked for a crime, never had a DUI, but I could have with Mars squared Neptune, Venus squared Uranus, Mars opposed Jupiter, Moon squared Saturn, yaddah yaddah!.
I know some folks who justify their bad behavior with "I have my Sun in Bonzo with a peenie rising, I can't help myself!." which is bogus!. Astrology isn't an excuse for bad behavior either!.
I also don't think that one's chart is cast in stone!. I see it more like an oil slick on water!. That's where our free will comes in!. With conscious effort one can overcome the negative default settings that is our natal chart!. I had to work hard not to respond to things in a knee jerk manner!. I'm not saying it's easy to overcome one's chart!. I'm saying it's possible because I had to do that if I was to have a life that didn't include jail time!.
Coming from another angle, this life is an illusion, Maya, this is not our only life!. This life, gender, astrology chart, is part of that Maya illusion of this incarnation!. We are old souls in young bodies, reliving the cycles of life to learn something on a karmic level!. Therefore, I do believe that spiritually we can overcome any weird aspect in our astrology chart!. Because we're more than what we seem to be spiritually!.
How I keep perspective is to think about quantum physics and how galaxies collide!. Our short lives with our all important issues are a blink of the eye on a cosmic level!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
