Question: Why do people take psychics seriously!?
When all the evidence seems to suggest that psychics are either frauds or people who are fooling themselves!.

Correction: the majority of the psychics are frauds only after the money!. That, love, has been common knowledge for years!.
However, I've made it one of my favourite pass-times to find them out and give them a hard time - in fact, I give every psychic I meet a hard time, and only about 0!.10% roughly has ever proven themselves through the hard time I gave them!. Now I've seen a lot of psychics and only one of them is that *about* 0!.10%!.
So that isn't much, is it!?
But what she managed to do is find out things about my personality, about my past and about what was going to happen in my near future *out of my control* (so them coming true was definitely not a matter of self-fulfilling prophecy) WITHOUT ANY FEEDBACK FROM ME! I simply kept quiet, which I do with all psychics, and that is an easy way to find out which one is fishing and which one isn't!. She didn't even need to ask me anything and was happy enough with me giving no feedback apart from yes or no at the end of the reading!. And you can ask anyone who's ever played games with me - I'm very good at putting on the bluff face!. She seemed honest about her idea that she was psychic and even though I'm still skeptical about any psychic (including her) I still visit her to see if she will be wrong for once!.!.!.
So far, after 4 visits in 2 years, she hasn't been wrong at all - even gone as far as describing the entire series of events and came true!. And I'm still waiting for her to slip up at least once!.
So!.!.!. not all the evidence suggests what you imply!. Simply all the *officially* produced evidence does!. (That would be similar to saying Catherine Zeta-Jones is the most beautiful woman on Earth, while she is only the most beautiful *famous* woman - there can possibly be more beautiful women on Earth who chose to avoid the spotlights; being beautiful doesn't mean one wants to pursue a career in fame)

Websites want you to see only what they want to see!. A website called *bad* psychics can't possibly show an accurate psychic, can they!? What would happen to their credibility then!?
That aside, your question is booming with generalisations!. You're not the only one who doesn't *believe* in psychics and - as far as I can figure out - you are a *people* yourself; does that imply that you take psychics seriously as well!?

For the same reasons people take anything else seriously!. They want to believe!. It's just that frauds, in this case psychics, can be disproven in real life time!. Whereas other beliefs remain a mystery as to their truth even after one dies!.
The need to believe, it's human, and as a result people take the opportunity to be foolish about something and really there is no surprise there!. So maybe the need to believe out ways the need to seek out truth where these matters are concerned!. An answer is better than no answer maybe!. not all of them are 'bad'!. some people really do have a gift but they won't flaunt it!.

In some situations I think they can be taken seriously!. I guess it takes an intense session with a real psychic to get it!. There are a lot of frauds and jokes out there, and I didnt necessarily believe in psychic abilities until I saw this lady (famous and all on Court Tv now Carol Pate) after my heart was broken by a boy!. She told me all of this stuff that I didnt believe or maybe didnt want to!. But it ended up being all true and horrible!. (Cheating, death of friends, etc)!.

My mum is clairvoyant and so is her mum!. I have experianced my mum's knowledge and protection!. My mother is not a liar or a fraud, she doesnt con people out of money or advertise her "gift"!. I guess the people who do are the real frauds!.
Only last month a friend of mine had been having a problem with a presence in her house!. She asked me to ask my mum what was going on!. The next morning my mum produced a written reading for my friend for me to pass on!. She asked for nothing in return - it was just a favour for my friend!. My friend was gobsmacked at the accuracy of the letter!.
