Question: Astrology questions on combust! and more!.!.!.!.!?
I have both sun and mars in cancer in the 10th house , mars is about a bit more than 3 degrees from the sun!.!.!.so basically It is in combust!.!.!.!.
I heard planet in combust loses its nature and cant function at all!.!.!.!.but mars is an exception, combusted mars is somehow stronger !.!.!.!.!.is this true !? How will the combust mars affect me !? I have MC in cancer too, mars trines moon, saturn if thats any help :)
also, I discovered that my juno is in libras conjunct my libra ASC and both trine my venus!.!.!.!.what exactly does it mean when juno conjunct ASC !?

Combustion is when a planet is 8 deg 30' from the Sun!. The Sun destroys the nature and influence of any planet that may happen to be in conj!. to him!.
Mercury combust would make the person act more on impulse, indecisive but he or she would still have a mind to work with and Mercury does not lose its function!.
Mars combust is somewhat stronger but more impuslive in his action, talks louder!.!.!.etc!.!.!. actually, everything is amplified but to what degree is this good or bad !?
Cazimi is when a planet is 17' from the center of the Sun!. Actually, the planet is said to be fortified but also less controllable!.
Mars in MC in Cancer (badly placed) is not well placed!. Expect troubles to come out in the open but you will be able to handle it!. You will suffer undeserved discredit!. You must learn to lower your voice sort of speak!.
Mars also affects the health, especially heartburns, digestive system , etc!.!.!.!. not now, but later on in life!.

I would say that mars gives an extra "oompf" to the sun though with the conjunction!.
But with some planets there seems to be a winner and a loser!.
Saturn generally has more influence when conjunct a personal planet like a Venus conjunct Saturn!.!.!.!.saturn would be more important and stiffling the venus quality for ex!.
Outer planets ( Neptune, Uranus, Pluto) also seem to eclipse the planets they are conjunct with!.

This is something that is still in debate by astrologers!.You see scientist are continually discovering new things the same holds true for astrology,the ancients did not use uranus neptune or pluto in their charts for example!.Although combustion is used regulary in horary astrology its still debatable in natal astrology!.Your planet does not lose its nature it just means it funtions weaker than it normally would!.However If you have mars so close to the sun than yes the energy would indeed be increased instead of weakened!.Although where the sun and mars are in cancer the water element might tone down some of the intensity!.As for how it will affect you!?It would mean that your mars and what ever else its aspected to would be a prominet part of your personality!.I dont know what sign your moon is in!.The asteroids will not tell you anything new!. Every important theme in the chart can be seen through working with the major bodies in the chart!.
