just curiousWww@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
i think you can sort of tell which ones are actually by people and which ones are just copy/paste!.!.!. what's interesting is that i know where all those copy/paste answers are from (because i always do an extensive research online before i come here with questions), so it just makes me laugh that google gets so many customers!.!.!. ^^

i don't really need them to provide sources; i know them already!. ~_^Www@Enter-QA@Com

no!.!.!.!.!.

i guess most of the time they
answer in their own words!.!.!.
so we get use to that!.!.i dont
really bother to find out sources!.!.

thats just me!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It depends if I'm inquiring upon a fact or opinion!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think one should!.

Truth (The real truth)!.

When I can tell that it's not in their own words, yes, I care!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I care very much when the answer is lifted word for word from another source!. If it's just being drawn out of the answerer's memory, well then obviously the information had to come from somewhere, but that doesn't neccessarily mean that the answerer is going to remember where it came from, so in those cases, doesn't really matter!. If it's a case where they're throwing out statistics or something like that, I'd like to see some proof, though, so a link is always nice in those cases to support the answerer's statements!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If it's quoted, it should be sourced!. Otherwise it's plagiarism!.

If it's in a person's own words, it does not need to be sourced, unless he/she refers to some specific statistic, website, or other source!.!.!.

**Thumbs downing for a legitimate response is the act of a coward!.!.!.too bad I just TUed everyone you hit!.!.!."

**edit- The idea behind providing source is not just so that a person can go back for further information--it's to give credit to the one who originally came up with the material, the one who took the time to properly (we hope) research it!.!.!.

It's a matter of honesty and integrity- giving credit where credit is due!. To take someone's published words (or songs, or pictures), to use them, and to not give credit for them is an act of theft--that's why copyrights were developed!.

This concept has inspired whole specialized fields of law-intellectual copyright laws!.!.!.**

**edit!.!.!.well, yeah, that would be kewl oO!.!.!.but I don't think there's room!.!. :-)**Www@Enter-QA@Com

not reallyWww@Enter-QA@Com
