Question: I have a book from Dr. Swami Rama and when reading it I am feeling very light and was interested when he was born, but I found only the year-1925.

Answers: I have a book from Dr. Swami Rama and when reading it I am feeling very light and was interested when he was born, but I found only the year-1925.

India had been successively under invasion and occupation by marauding, and plundering tribes from the west since early 10th Century. India was famous for so many cultural advancement in those days that It was being referred as a "Country of golden birds" because of its rich philosophy and generous yet self-fulfilling life-style. Whoever heard of this, thought that India might be a storehouse of Gold (goldmine), and they began rushing in with full strength to plunder away everything. It is a different matter that after plundering they chose to stay back instead, and mixed and mingled with the natives here.

Those who marauded, would initially destroy everything that they could come across if they thought it was beyond their perception or purpose. In this way several of India's valuable cultural wealth were lost and destroyed. Even indian identity came to be threatened. Its revival was done only when some great scholars were born in the late nineteenth century who learnt from some of the Sanskrit texts the beauty and serenity of the Indian ethos and norms. But by then damage had already been done. India, which tought the NUMERALS to the world, itself forgot what to do with those symbols. Industrial revolution of the eighteenth century began winding up of the Indian merchandises and trades and damaged the native economy and Imperialist British settlers further pushed the economy to the brink. A poverty stricken and thoroughly exploited Indian society could not afford to carry forward the scholarly practices. Acute ignorance became the order of the day. And recording of timing of events became luxury of the well-to-do. It is therefore wherever you find Dates of births of Indian people of that period, rest assured they were blue-blooded.

Thanks for raising query of historical and cultural awareness.

The exact day is probably not known.

From what i know, being an Indian girl myself..people back in India didn't keep their date of birth. It just wasn't important to them but if you ever do find Dr. Swami Rama's D/O/B it is most likely made up because they never made a record of it but knew roughly what year they were born!
