There is nothing negative about Tarot cards themselves..if YOU have a negative mindset then possibly YOUR energy can affect the cards and your readings.
Remember it's your unconscious mind, and your energy that is being revealed in Tarot cards. A "card" cannot cast a spell. Relax and enjoy learning Tarot!

Well, I've learned at a very young age not to mess around with tarot cards...all they are is negative- every card in the deck is focoused negatively and therefore in my mind- bad. ...And this might sound crazy, but I honestly believe they cast spells on people. I read angel cards- they're all positive so there's nothing to fear- it's an interesting art, but I'd hate to see a newby get caught up in something that you didn't bargain for. Be careful if you do decide to do it- but Angel cards are fun too- If you just want to learn the art itself, that's what I would suggest...and you'd be surprised at how an angel card reading can be so accurate that it's scary- but all positive.
