Lol well thank you for the introduction Librarising (aka Ryan L)

Always, the sun and moon are dominate and are of great importance in every single chart no matter what. So naturally their aspects and sign and house placements are always big in chart interpretations.

The ruling planet of ones chart is usually most dominant behind the sun and moon. In almost any case, the ruling planet is that which rules the sign on the ascendant. Venus for you. Venus should be examined in great detail. It's aspects and house and sign placement, as well as if it is involved in the sun/moon midpoint, is peregrine, and/or on the aries point. These strengthen it's significance.

Another big factor is having a planet be singleton. This is when one planet is the only planet in the chart in a particular mode or element. For example, having a leo sun but no other planets in aries, leo, or sagittarius constitutes a singleton planet. Any singleton is automatically considered to be powerful and commands attention. It will usually represent great challenge or ability depending on the person and their choices in life.

Lastly, any planets involved in an aspect pattern (T-square, grand trine, grand cross, etc.) are important, as they show something great going on in the chart when together. In the case of a T-square the "third" planet (doing the squaring) becomes of focus to the individual and is automatically catapulted into a dominant position.

It is hard to say that one planet is the "most" dominant in a chart. Furthermore, I don't even think any sign can be dominant. Obviously the rising sign is key, but so are the sun and moon signs. Perhaps if one has all three in the same sign, it would then be very dominant. Also, any sign or house in which there is a stellium suggests a "dominant" feeling. Still, it's hard to tell just one. There are so many scenarios.....

Yet another thing is to look at a charts pattern. Is it a bucket chart? A locomotive? A splash? Finding a charts pattern can easily point to a planet that assumes a "dominant" role. In the case of bucket charts, the "handle" becomes a dominant planet. In locomotives and bowl charts, the planet leading away from the unoccupied region (first planet moving clockwise from the ascendant) becomes more dominant. This of course is just one more thing that makes a planet dominant.

If a planet doesn't resemble these qualities it is not dominant and therefore, its aspects and placements become less important. Say for example, jupiter in your chart. Say it is not peregrine, on the AP, or conjunct the sun/moon midpoint. It is not the third planet of a T-square. Also, it doesn't rule the ascendant or sun or moon. It is not the focus of the pattern (it isn't the handle of a bucket or leading planet of a bowl or locomotive). Finally, it isn't singleton. This makes everything that "is" involved with jupiter less important and even less true. This is the method I use....as you see there are many ways for a planet to be of focus but also, it is still very likely for a planet to not be dominant at all. Most people have several planets that are not dominant at all or at least have very little dominance. Just as most people do have one or a few planets that show great chart dominance.

Hope this helps!

There is a book called The Only Astrology Book You Will Ever Need. It has all the plants mapped for what sign they were in when u were born.

I can answer this but I am sure slow genius would give you a much better one, so stay tuned. Mostly the sun and moon are the biggest planets in your chart, also the ruler of the rising sign, in your case venus...is strong too....but there are much more and i think it is better if a more experienced astrologer answer this.

Well...two ways to go with your question.

First - the sun and moon dominate any person's chart. What signs are your sun and moon in? Your outer actions and inner affects are dominated by these two planets, reflected in the signs that contain them. So every person's chart contains these two dominant planets.

Second - what are your Ascendant, Sun, and Moon signs? Those determine your more dominant planets. My Ascendant, for example, is Scorpio, so that gives Pluto extra weight in my chart. If you have Sun in Capricorn, Saturn is one of your more influential planets, and so on.
