Hey, I have mercury, chiron, and venus in the eighth?!
Question: What do these placements mean? Also the ruler of my eighth house which is mercury, is in the eigth house as well. What does that mean?

Well let's try to sort out what we can here.
Mercury and venus in the 8th house shows that you spend alot of mental energy on your finances, death, sex, and other matters of the house. There's a strong possibility you will inherit from your siblings if you have them. You love writing and talking about the occult and metaphysical topics. You're lucky in terms of money, and you gain financially through marriage and partnerships. If venus is poorly aspected here, there is a tendency to lose money and inheritances. Sexual access is also probable, and you must gaurd against drugs, alcohol, and unsafe sex.
Now, chiron is something we know little about compared to the rest of the planets, the sun, and the moon, however, it, much like juno and ceres and even pallas, is being studied more and more and we are starting to find out quite a bit. Chiron represents, to be blunt, where we are hurt and have the ability to heal. The sign of chiron shows our actions in doing so....the house placement is generally more important (at least to me) because it shows the area of life we are hurt and can best heal. In the 8th, this shows deep wounds and a feeling of handicapped in the matters of sex and finances. You are hurt in some way by these and therefore, understand greatly how to heal. You see, through being hurt, we can best be compassionate and henceforth, can "heal". That is what chiron teaches. So, since in many ways you will feel sexually and financially (as in taxes more than actual money as the 2nd house is that) inadaquate you will then be able to help put these wounds to rest. Also, you may be best at attracting and helping those who themselves are sexually and financially hurt, as chiron also shows hurt people we attract. To give an example, chiron in the 9th would show one who attracts and can help those who are spiritually handicapped and/or hurt....in the 4th, one who helps those hurt by family, etc., etc.
