So I was on CafeAstrology site and I found it a little sexist. Am I right?!

Question: I was on that site, trying to read my aspects and it said, "Be the woman you are and take charge.....blah blah, etc etc and I found it a little rude, because it was automatically assuming the gender of the reader.

Do they think only women believe in astrology?

well, my experience was that none of my male friends seemed to believe in astrology, at least outright in public.

it is sexist; however, maybe the site was made and geared toward the female audience. also the fact that the in-house astrologer is female may have something to do with its "feminine" language.

honestly, many of the information i found on that site didn't seem to fit my personality, so i've given up on that site. :)

As J Kim wrote, I think it may have to do with a particular site being made for a female audience. Plenty of men are into astrology. My man knows more about it than I do!

Actually, I know more guys than girls that are into astrology. But people usually assume that it's girls that read the sites.

no, i was at this one site & it was talking to me or was written for a man's point of u so i was like "wtf, theres nothing for women on here ?" but them i went to a different site & they had it for both man & women so it's just depending on the site

just by the layout of the site you can tell the girly touch about it, specially the links about love and miscellaneous stuff.

she could be just voicing her opinion on how she wouldve done it or maybe like just having a conversation with herself on how she wants to say what she meant.

I think your looking too much into it. even I sometimes use "he" in a situation where i dont know the individual, instead of using "he/she".

that could easily just be human error, if she was being sexist she wouldve wrote down, "be the woman that you are, and dont listen to men"

"Do they think only women believe in astrology?" I doubt they can even spell correctly if they really believed that.
