Any planet on the aries point is affected regardless of the actual sign it's in. My sun is on the aries point in gemini, but if it were to be in cancer, that wouldn't change the affect of the fact that it is still on the point.
Actually the fact that it is within the limits rather than conjuncting makes it more powerful. What is the planet exactly?
Any planet.......any...........is more powerful and is being asked to be "brought forth" when on the AP. Venus and jupiter mean different things, but they are not exactly more powerful. That would be something different. As a matter of fact, neptune is dignified in pisces so it is strongest of any planet in the sign. But I see what you're saying. My opinion is that no planet is necessarily more pronounced depending on sign. This is from experience, looking at the AP in charts.
