Sidereal astro and cusps...?!
Question: I'm a Cancer (June 23) so that puts me in the Gemini-Cancer cusp. Someone answered another question with "i use sidereal astro, which would move you back 17 degrees...to a definite Gemini." So...I've always thought of myself as a Cancer. What does this person mean by that? And am I really a Gemini?

i've come across sidereal astrology recently, and i'm convinced that it seems more accurate in its reading for personality analysis than say, tropical. earth is tilted, as you know, and there's something called the equinox... i can't explain it very well, but it means that when you look at the sky on a certain day, the sign it's supposedly under (constellation), probably isn't on that. like on june 23, you'll look up at the sky and see gemini, not cancer.

it may fit you, it may not, but what i've found is that although i'm a capricorn under sidereal astrology, the description for it fits me better than say, if i was an aquarius... but the judgment is yours to be made; you have to see as objectively as possible whether you fit the description of a tropical cancer, or a sidereal gemini; they're different systems, so you can't just mix and match... so just look and see.
You are cancer and the sidereal time wont change anything because, sidereal time is always used in astrology to calculate planetary positions and houses.
So, you are a Cancer and not a Gemini by far and not even a cusp for that matter.
