i think the description of a virgo fits me well, as they do for friends and family.
but the day to day predictions aren't usually right.

I think in general they are but the horoscopes are usually way off base.

i did a project on astrology and i was very surprised how well they fit everyone i knew... i think some of it is that the traits aren't super specific.
sometimes the everyday horoscopes are actually accurate, not usually though.

As a do you think, no I do not. In my opinion thay are just a silly little thing people do for fun. I mean, don't get me wrong, I do believe that the stars have a lot to do with what is going on in our society [As in, when mercury is in retrogade] But horoscopes are just some silly fun game. So yes and no. : ]

Are we discussing Sun sign horoscopes only? In that case, no. Because there's more to your chart than your Sun sign alone.
If you took your birth data: mm/dd/yyyy, location and time of birth, and go to http://www.astro.com, get a free chart wheel. Then google what you find. Then you ask yourself, "Does that sound true for me, to me?"
Going on Sun sign alone is like saying the tip of the iceberg is the whole deal, when it isn't.
That being said, when one has a full chart done, do the planets in the signs, planets in the houses, aspects to the planets seem accurate, yes. In the 40 years I've been studying astrology a full chart is very right on.

no because i have a boyfriend and a brother who have the same birthday, just a year apart, and they are two totally different people...which I'm glad of because that would be disturbing if i was dating someone just like my brother

No....my sign seems like nothing like me, and while a couple of personality traits may fit anyone can be stubborn and like to read...there is more support for probability than for the actual horoscope being right.
Day to day ones are almost never right. Or they are so vague that anything could be right when you think about it...
well.. for me, the zodiac description and zodiac pairing is extremely accurate. the daily horoscopes has its ups and downs. sometimes its right and at other times i have no idea what its talkin about!
