Aquarian's insecurity and possesiveness?!

Question: Why do Aquarians, when they find a love-mate, make so much effort to cut their love-mate's friends out of the mate's life? I've had two good friends now who have fallen in love with an Aquarian. Next thing you know, that Aquarian will b***h and complain until he pushes me and others away from my good friend. Also, Aquarians will push their own friends away when they find a love mate. Why do Aquarians behave this way?
I'm getting to the point that whenever one of my friends falls in love with an Aquarian, an alarm goes off in my head, and I mentally prepare myself to accept that I'm not going to see that friend for awhile. Are there any Aquarians in yahoo answers that can answer this question?

I'm an Aquarian but I can't answer your question because I don't act like that and neither do any of the other Aquarians I know. I've always gotten complaints that I'm not emotional enough and I'm too distant. Instead of stereotyping all Aquarians with this behavior why don't you just hold the individual responsible for their actions. If you actually look up the traits of an Aquarian you'll see that this isn't at all typical of this sign. In fact, all air signs are known for being free spirits meaning we don't hold onto to others like possessions because we wouldn't let someone hold onto us like that. It's hard to catch air =) Insecure people come in ALL signs and it seems that your friends coincidentally keep getting involved with those that happen to be Aquarius. It doesn't mean that we're all that way.

Thank you sweetpea! Hopefully, your friend can find an Aquarian without the baggage. They'll have all the freedom they can stand then. Take care! Report It

  • I'm not an Aquarius, but I can tell you from experience that it seems like the problem isn't so much the persons astrological sign as it is a personality defect. Aquarians that I've known, and I've known plenty, tend to be a bit detached, and often give their significant other more space than is needed or wanted. They also are the friends of the zodiac, so they would never push their friends away for a mate, unless there is some kind of underlying emotional problem. Signs that tend to cling & be possessive by nature are Taurus, Scorpio, Pisces, Capricorn, and Cancer.

My husband is an Aquarius and he has not pushed my friends away, I am still very close with most of my friends and he has no problem with that and he is very close with his friends. So I guess it just depends on the type of men that your friends are dating, I don't think that it has anything to do with them being an a Aquarius.

Sounds more like a pisces. They are the ones usually insecure. I am an aquarius and I would get a big clingy with love interest, and I would get jealosu of friends but since I have a couple of capricorns in my whole chart, I wouldn't express it. I would stay reserved. I would also not let anyone know because I know its low.
