Astrology and interests in spirituality?!

Question: What does astrology say about a person's spiritual incline? How do the planets affect the person's interest in spirituality?
And I'm talking about the metaphysics known as new age, new thought, neo-paganism, wiccan, manifesting, reiki, etc... and those kinds of things.
I see people interested in those things with all kinds of sun signs.

Perhaps it has to do with north node? Are those in north node in aquarius or pisces more spiritually inclined? What detrmines it?

I agree with you that the North Node placement is one factor to consider when looking at the spiritual inclination of an indiividual. More than any other Signs/Houses placements, the North Node in Scorpio & Pisces indicate the path of Spirituality that an individial is destined to walk this lifetime. Those people whose past lives (South Node) tendencies are hevaily inclined towards concrete earthly materialism (i.e. Taurus & Virgo) are challenged to do away with their heavy emphasis & over reliance on material things to gain confidence and security...by adopting a spiritual approach to solutions and finding inner peace and security instead.

However, this kind of inclination is not the same as those with an innate sense of spirituality born into this lifetime...this is more like 'trial and error', doing things repeatedly the hard way, getting the same results and finally turning to a Higher Power/Consciousness for spiritual guidance.

As for naturally spiritually-inclined individuals, apart from strong activity in the last quadrant of signs and Houses, many also have strong Fire emphasis such as Fire Grand Trines. The individualistically-inclined person is sooner or later, more prone to questioning about his existence, meaning & purpose in life etc...and that always stems from the Self as a lifelong quest. Also, many spiirtual gurus have the Yod in their charts..which is referred to 'The Finger of God'. This takes on a special karmic meaning for such individuals.

And P/S: And also from a karmic point of view, I find that the concepts of pre-natal Solar Eclipse & Lunar Eclipse in one's chart comes heavily into play here. Those who are spiritually-inclined have the Quincunx (inconjunct) aspect. They are the ones ushering in the New Age - the agitators, healers and new thinkers helping others around them to become more aware. This becomes a 'serve or suffer' lifetime as more often than not, they find that their emotional, financial, mental or even physical well-being deteriorates if they are not offering assistance in some way.

There are many variables in a chart that speak of a person's way of faith and spirituality.
The planets that have a spiritual influence; Moon, Neptune, Pluto
The signs that have this energy are all the water signs;
Cancer, Scorpio & Pisces. Aquarius is an air sign that has a more 'humane' way of thought.
Having any of the inner planets in water signs lends to strong spiritual interests.

The 9th house in one's natal chart tells about that persons philosophies and ultimately, their approach to religion. Nothing says "you will be a moslem" or anything like that, but certainly there are indicators of being (and not being) interested in "new age" beliefs. Uranus and neptune are huge in this, and either one (or both) in the 9th indicate unusual and/or aesthetic approaches to religion. Also, the sign on the 9th house cusp tells alot. I've noticed that fixed signs here indicate a dogmatic-like sense to beliefs, but this is just what I've seen. Sagittarius, natural ruler of the 9th, shows a person who is "religiously open". Also jupiter here says this.

There are so many things.....the north node really has nothing to do with religion. However, having the north node in the 9th house means that person will grow through the developement of their higher mind....which basically means they must learn to be more open-minded and then they will have learned the lesson of their node.

The 9th house and any aspects to it are key in determining that person's take on philosophy and spirituality. Also, if neptune, uranus, and/or jupiter make strong statements.

Hope this helps!

edit: If you have gemini on the 9th house, look at mercury and it's aspects. (By the way is your 9th house empty? If not, what is in it? If so, then just skip to the following.) The 9th house has long been considered the house ruling over spirituality, so yes, it is the houses. The difference is, not everyone has the same aspects to the ruler of their 9th. You may have a peregrine mercury, whereas another gemini 9th may have a trine from saturn and a square from pluto, and another may have a conjunction with venus and the moon, etc. There are so many possibilities. Also, what house is your mercury in? This will vary from person to person as well.

The natal chart is potential. How it manifests is up to the individual ie free will. A prominent Neptune can indicate spiritual interests OR substance abuse issues. Look to the 9th and 12th houses and their rulers. Pisces, Sagitarrius.

I'm a Virgo. I'm supposed to be all about logic. But I have 9th house Pisces with Saturn on the cusp trining 12th house Jupiter forming a wide Grand Trine involving Neptune. It all fits together, guided by determined Saturn and Virgo attention to details. I've been searching for answers my entire life. And I have been blessed on a few occations by what could be described as "visions" for lack of a better term.

North Node doesn't show what we are inclined towards. That is the South Node. North Node is what we are supposed to move towards. Not everyone does.

Fire trines seems to be prominent in guru types. Fwiw

edit... slow genius is correct... says the slow typer. :)
