Question: i'm a scorpio and i'm in love with a pisces... but all we seem to do is fight...and then 2 weeks later make up...and then fight. and in generally due to miscommunication or just misunderstanding one another. Is this just in general a bad pairing?

I love Astrology. Both of these signs are very dominant. They are doomed to keep trying to "take over". Of course there will always be love in the relationship....but what relationship can properly function with so much fighting?
I went through the same thing....being an Aquarius trying to be with a Capricorn...we loved each other, but fought so much. We have been broken up for 6 months now.
I don't think that but the writing is on the wall why prolong it? life is awaiting...If you want to really know cancer is the best pairing for Scorpio.
Date a Libra for a while and then you'll be happy to return to a Pisces.

I don't think it's a bad match up. My mother (a Pisces) was married to my dad (a Scorpio) for almost 30 years. Course, they did do their fair share of bickering (more often than not on my dad's part), but they had a great time together. Always traveling, trying new things, laughing constantly. They had a lot in common. After my dad died, and more than 2 years after-wards, my mom met another Scorpio male and they have been together almost 2 years, and they never fight!
See, Scorpios like to control whereas we Pisces love to get away from those things. Scorpio is Fixed Water and Pisces is Mutable Water. Scorpio is more aggressive than Pisces but are still good matches.
I am not for sure, but I am a Pisces and I dated a Scorpio for a while and we never fought, things were perfect between us. He treated me like a queen and I could not get enough of him. I ended up leaving him because I wanted to be back with my baby's dad, it was a dumb thing to do.
