Do you not relate to your horoscope sign?!
Question: Just out of curiosity , I have looked at astrology here and there, more of just an interest then anything, but generally people do believe they exhibit some traits with thier sign. However I have always noticed I am nothing like mine (Cancer). Anybody else think this?

Hi Cancer, I am an Aquarius. The way you find your rising and moon signs is not only by your date of birth, but by your place and time of birth too. Your time does not have to be perfect though, but very close within an hour. To do this go to www.astro. com, and find where it says personal portriat then put in some information and it tells you about yourself. I just have to ask are you sure you don't act like a cancer? I happen to have a cancer friend and they say the samething. Perhaps you don't look at yourself close enough, because my friend acts pretty much like a cancer no matter how much they say they don't. So maybe you should get some second opinions from people who know you very well. Just a suggestion;) I find it hard for people to see how they act, which is including me. Even though I think I act very much like my sun sign aquarius, that it is not even funny it is crazy. But, it is true if you have more powerful signs another than your sun sign you can act different. For example- Lets pretend your signs were sun- cancer, moon-gemini, and rising-sagittarius. Your moons air quality can cancel out some sun water quality. Since you are a water sign, which tends to be very emotional it would be cut in half, because the moon sign has to do with emotions and it is under an air sign which are very unemotional and like to think more than feel. The air influence could also make you very talkative and very forgiving. And lets say your rising sign sagittarius (fire sign) made you more outgoing, fun, and impulsive compared to cancers more down to earth personality. It could be could be. Air and fire put together in a chart can over power a water sign by itself. Or in vis versa one air sign could be over powered by two water signs or earth signs in a chart. But, this was just to show you how it could work, you need to go look up your signs. I hope I helped you :)
You have to know your full chart. I am a Libra, with many signs in Cancer and Scorpio and that changes what my main characteristics are.

I'm a tail end Scorpio (29.39 degrees) but more like a Scorpio/Sagittarius cusp (aka Scorpittarius) :) . people see me more as a Sagittarius, and I have a lot more traits of a Sag than a Scorpio, but I still have some Scorpio traits. It's confusing...and then if i were to tell you about the rest of my chart...then you can understand my confusion about not relating to my Sun sign. lol. :P
I try not to take it too seriously..but certain things stick out for me...I am also a Libra like the other person on here...The symbol is the scales of balance...I always find that I'm searching for balance in my life and I never get it..so I can relate to the scales in some ways...
You need to see your particular chart for time and birth place etc. Ones meant for everyone are too specific.

As some have already mentioned, you need to look at the whole birthchart in order to see what kind of traits will you exhibit with respect to any situation/matter.
A person is much more complicated than just an understanding of your sun sign.
Anyway, the reason why I believe in horoscope is that it is able to truly explain some of the things that I had done and also the reason of others' behaviour. This might be useful especially when dealing with ppl and deciding your goals in this lifetime.
what are your rising and moon signs? im an aquarius, i feel i can relate to my sign but i could always relate to pisces and scorpio too...and weirdly enough those are my rising and moon signs.
Some people are more influenced by their moon sign. (the sign the moon was traveling through on the day you were born) Look on a chart to find out your moon sign, finding your moon sign is more difficult.
I relate perfectly to my sun, my rising, my moon, my Jupiter, Mars and all the other stuff in their correct houses. You do know that there's more to you than just your sun sign, right?
