If someone has an astrological aspect that needs to "shine", and anoth!

Question: be?

Example, sun in the 10th, and perhaps neptune in the 12th
or any other relevant aspects

Answers: be?

Example, sun in the 10th, and perhaps neptune in the 12th
or any other relevant aspects

As a Sag sun (in 4th conj. Nep) with Leo rising, and Saturn in Cancer conj. south node in the 11th, I can say that the person above me is right. We do both.

EDIT: I suppose that it depends on which influence is more strongly aspected and when. When looking at the natal chart, whichever influence is stronger will be the one most often expressed, however, through transiting aspects the weaker of the two influences can become stronger than the other.

EDIT: But what if Neptune is in Pisces in the 12th, goldensindy, and Pisces is the sign on the ascendant? That makes Neptune the ruler of the entire chart, a fairly significant influence I'd say, regardless of whether or not it's aspecting a personal planet.

Generally, our charts map out our inner personality, so I would say the person in your example would "be" both of the factors. Planets are the "what." The sun is the urge to shine, and Neptune is the urge for divine union.

The person would have sun in the 10th, which means he would shine in the area of life calling, and how he appears in the world.

Neptune's is home in the 12th house. If a person has Neptune here, it means that the urge for divine union is expressed in the mystical area of life experience.

If we know the signs of each planet, we would also know the "why" and "how" of each of the planets.

The Sun is a personal planet and it's in a HIGHLY powerful and visual house: the 10th.

Neptune is hidden away in the 12th, and granted, that's it's house, it is NOT a personal planet, and would not matter one whit (unless it is aspecting a personal planet).

So, to answer this very general question: THE SUN THE SUN THE SUN THE SUN

PS If you want your Neptune to "shine", you could relocate or move to another place, somewhere that puts it "out in the forefront". I would not do that w/Neptune though. Neptune tends to be a mixed bag. :-(

He will be both.....!!!! Aspecting planets cannot do both at the same time. The person will shine and hide or will hide and shine afterwards.
Moon has to trigger either one and if she does trigger both, than the strongest natal chart will prevail at that moment in time whether the need to shine, or the need to hide.

If he/she must shine, the transit will indicate if they are ready for it. Same for Neptune in 12 which is not always the case, that he/she is hiding anything. If he / she needs to hide, than the transit will indicate it at a certain point.

Neptune in 12th indicates a need to learn to relax. It requires inner awareness of a positive nature to actually solve the misdirected energies, stability, adaptability or emotions according to the element of the sign on the 12th cusp.

With Sun in 10th, he would have help by already, successful people and wouldn't need to make any effort to shine.
The line of least resistance is always the best for lazy people.
Having said this, people always tend to take the easy way out and, they would prefer to shine. And if they dont succeed, then, they will hide.
