Do you or Don't you believe in Astrology?!

Question: I believe in it, and am just curious who does and who doesn't. Also curious as to why they feel the way they feel and I also wonder if you try to force others to see things your way.
For instance, I believe in it, I have read a lot on my sign and I know a few others pretty well, and I am absolutely meant to be my sign, not another one even comes close to me! And no, if you do not believe the way I do, I just respect it and go about my merry little way, I do not try to convince people they are right or wrong, because I only do it as a hobby, and they do not do it because they probably have more important things to do with their time!!!!!!!!

I'd rather know than trust a blind belief. There is no evidence that can validate astrology. Not even statistical evidence. Astrology is made-up, ancient, stereotyping, and bigoted. It can and has been tested. Astrology fails to do better than chance. Free will also makes it pointless.

It does not deserve respect. The only reason astrology is still around is the simplest. MONEY! It makes hundreds of millions of dollars. Dot coms, books, jewelry, and other trinkets. Sellers of astrology are laughing to the bank. Cash cow for something that never can be proved.

no i dont

Nope.
Look, a professor once gave a horoscope to his students that he said was "specially designed for each of you". Once they'd read it (and all said they agreed with it), he told them to pass it around.
Everyone had the exact same horoscope.
All that they are is a wide spam of complimenting that everyone wants to hear. All humans have a bit of every quality and they love hearing about the good ones.

I don't believe it to the point where I plan my day on it. That said, it's interesting to see what people think your day or week is going to be like. I just think that the descriptions are made to be so general that it could fit a lot of people a lot of different ways. So while it's interesting, I think it's a bad thing if you start depending on it to define your day.

I agree with above - people just want to hear good things, whether they're true or not.

The problem is, that that is all down to the person reading the *horoscope*. That's why I generally don't like to do a natal chart reading for anyone who I feel is just out to hear compliments *and* I try to be as clear and straightforward as I can possibly be when doing someone's chart. No beating around the bush, no generalisations and no compliments.

As for whether I believe in it or not; no. It's not a matter of belief. It's a matter of study. Strange how you never hear anyone ask if you believe in analytical or behaviourial psychology; people take for granted that it works - even though - natal - astrology works in roughly the same way.

I know I do, mostly because what I read is normally true. (I read my horoscope after my day happens.)

i dont believe on astrology o the webpages but i do believe people who can read your future yes there is a lot of scams out there, but when u find a good one u will be impressed

Anybody who does'nt believe is a fool! I truly believe in astrology....how can u ignore it? U are correct that most people just don't have the time to study astrology. Maybe it doesn't interest them. It didn't interest me all that much until I wanted to understand everything about my sign and how it related to me as a person. Once I found out, I was glad I did. I now know why certain relationships failed.....Why certain things upset me. U learn alot about yourself by what sign you are. Lots of people I know don't know the first thing about their sign. They are always interested in learning about it. And I have yet to meet someone who isn't like their sign. Good way to remember someones birthday!

I started reading horoscopes just for fun, but it was scary accurate for me. Not the daily ones, but the more general ones. I'm addicted!
I want to study it some day when I'm done with college.

The funniest thing that I noticed with many people is that the ones that don't believe in horoscopes act exactly like their signs. I truly believe that learning about your astrology weather you believe it or not can help you improve your weeknesses and develop as a better person

The reason I believe in Astrology is because the way it describes people.

I believe in Astrology. I always have and I always will. Astrology makes complete sense to me and it's not just some mistake that majority of people born under the same sign fit the description of the sign. I know not everyone acts like their sign and that because we all have our own unique natal charts made up of different signs, but most people act like their sign. People that don't believe in astrology talk down about it because they can't believe in something that they can't understand. Not everything can be explained. A lot of people answering your question are getting horoscopes and astrology mixed up. Astrology doesn't give a forecast of the day or the week. Astrology describes a zodiac sign in detail.

I 100% believe in Astrology. There is the real stuff that dates back to Roman times, then theres those daily readings crap. I believe in the whole matchmaking section ( Ie. Leo v.s Aries = Good couple). My Bf is a Cancer and I'm Leo. Every book I read said "STAY AWAY! Cancers can be moody.", but I still wanted to give it a try. All the books were 100% right on all this traits and my own, and we don't make a good couple. I'd read it for like dating purpose, but for "what my life will be like in 7 years", type of stuff? Naahh..
