You can't base the relationship on your signs solely and I hope you are not just dating the sign just because you read it was a good match. Capricorn and Taurus are both earth signs and share many of the same traits and characteristics. Both are stubborn, but are both so stubborn that they are going to let something go unresolved and ruin a great relationship?
I am a Virgo dating a Capricorn and we are both stubborn. He is very stubborn and does not like to deal with conflict, so he will walk away without looking back. I, on the otherhand, recognize that he will do this and won't let him walk away. I make him deal with whatever issue we are having, but in a manner that makes him not become defensive. He never had that in a prior relationship and I was the one who would walk away without looking back in previous relationships. I can deal with this quality because I recognize it in myself. We balance eachother well because we see so much of one another in ourselves.
I am not necessarily into the daily horoscopes, but the astrological aspects of signs can not be denied. One must also take into account a person's life experiences, which shape us into the people we are. Being with someone who is a fellow earth sign suits me well because for the first time in my life, I feel understood. Even when we are frustrated with one another, we know that we can resolve our issues by talking and being honest with one another. Maybe the two of you didn't work out because neither one of you were willing to bend on anything and did not recognize how similiar the two of you are. Any relationship takes compromise and work to make it work.

I've seen Taurus and Capricorn in a relationship before but it's all puppy love.
Capricorn is the dominant one. Taurus is the stubborn one. And it irritates Capricorn when the Taurus refuse to listen.

The love of my live was a Taurus and I'm a Capricorn. We were in our early 20's and life and work simply took us in different directions, including me moving to another city 200 miles away. We parted on friendly terms and I still think of him every year on his birthday and hope he has found success and happiness in his life. We parted company about 25 years ago.
Well, I am a Virgo, my boyfriend is a Taurus and a good friend of mine is a Capricorn. My boyfriend and friend butt heads ALL the time. It's driving me crazy. They seem to be so similar (both can be controlling, both like things done their way, etc.). In my point of view, Caps and Tauruses seem to have a lot in common, but in some cases, almost too much in common, in that they are so similar that they clash.
Plus, just because Capricorn and Taurus are supposed to be compatible, does not mean that the relationship will always work out. Not every compatible match makes it for the long time, but you have to remember, the relationship was good and fun while it lasted, and each relationship one has, only makes them stronger for the next.

So, you think that astrology is supposed to guarantee you a lasting relationship? If you are not compatible with a person, regardless of their sun sign, then you need to be willing to work on whatever shortcomings you (both) may have to make the relationship work. People grow and change, and I'm sure you know that there's much more to people than just their sun sign, right?

I'm a capricorn and my mum is a taurus and we do get along fine...tilll...you know, as a cardinal sign i like to initiate while as a fixed sign she tries to resist.
good that we have moons in mutable signs (phew thank god!) else i can't imagine...
not a good match sorry...taureans are too shallow and slow and pessimistic for capricorns
