Id actually say either Pisces or Virgo, im a Pisces myself and i really like the vulnerable side of a Cancer female, it can be very attractive to me, and i really do seem to get on very well with cancers.
I wouldnt say capricorn is compatible though, as i know a woman whos a Cancer and shes having great problems at the moment with her Capricorn boyfriend, whose hurting her confidence and feelings all the time without realising it. I think they dont fit together well because capricorns hate having to use emotion in order to make someone feel better, its just not them as they use the practical side of their heads to solve problems. This can be confusing and hurting towards the Cancer as many of them prefer deeply emotional partners who can understand their needs for support and security etc, although by emotional that doesnt mean overly soft as Cancer will sometimes see this as a weakness which is why they can sometimes fall in love with the distant strength of capricorn.
Virgo can go great with a Cancer! i have a Cancer friend whos dating a Virgo right now and its going really well.
Scorpio goes great with Cancer too as many people will mention, ive noticed from my own experience that they have a lot of fun together and both know how to have a good time without spoiling the emotional side of things.
