It all depends on the other placements in your chart. Pisces is thought of as a dreamer with their heads in the clouds. But if you have other planets in more aggressive signs, you may be not quite as shy as someone with more laid back signs.
For example, if you have your Sun in Pisces, as well as your Moon and Mars in Pisces or in Virgo, you might be come across or feel shy as opposed to someone who has their Sun in Pisces but their Moon in Aries and their Mars in Leo.
There is much much more to astrology than just Sun signs which is why you are going to get very different personalities in people who are all born with their Sun in Pisces!

No not most Pisces are shy, that is a huge assumption. In fact, you'd be surprised to find horoscopes mean next to nothing.
Ivana Trump, Bruce Willis, Elizabeth Taylor, and Johnny Cash are all pisces and they were never shy... that proves that not all of a sign are the same way.

It depends. I'm a pisces and I can be rather outlandish. However, my dad's a pisces and he's very shy.
IDK, I dated a Pisces and he was very shy. I thought I was shy, well I'm not shy, just very observant, but he took the cake.

Dane Cook is a Pisces, and he is far from shy. I agree with that person that said all signs can be rather timid or not at all. I'm a January Aquarius and most of the time I can be very shy around people I don't know, I read that January Agrarians are very reserved and the Feb Aquarius are more outgoing. So I guess it depends on the month.

Ha. I like this question because I AM a Pisces. Yes, Pisces is born into the world shy (all of them are). Since we are the last sign and born in the Winter, we are what you would call "quiet types". We are like the Fish- we swim around and hate to be seen and hate to be bother. We are people that need to be toughened up as children to be prepared for the difficulties and hardships of the real world. Yes, it Is a common trait, however, most Pisces make excellent musicians and actor, or something dealing with the arts. That's our escapism and we can leave the Supreme Court stuff to Leos, Libras, Taurus and Scorpios.
Becouse thier Element is Water and Shyness from water traits, and that means thats a Natural thing
I'm a Pisces and I can be really shy sometimes. I try so hard to hide it from others and succeed sometimes- but other times when I'm in the center of attention or ppl look at me for no reason- my face will go bright red and LOL, I hate this about myself. I think it's b/c I'm so self-conscious and somewhere deep down inside- altho I hate to admit it but I just might care 'alil' of what others think of me but I don't let it rule my life or get to me to the point of obsessing over it.
I'm working on it - my shyness and slowly learning to control the blushing as best as I can cos it's all in the mind. hehe.
And as far as I'm concerned -it's a 'mind over matter' type of thing.
But yes- it is a common trait but not all pisces will be or are shy. Cos I have met and know some Pisces who are so extroverted and I am the complete opposite.
Hiding my shyness is at times easy to hide BUT getting me to talk when shy are two different things, LOL and that- is not easy....
