My Sun and my Moon signs are at 97 degrees does this make a square?!
Question: My Sun and my Moon signs are at 97 degrees does this make a square? I have come across different suggestions that say that the "square orb" in someone`s natal chart is 5,6 or even 8 degrees. Is there a real border and does a single degree make such a difference or there is stronger or weaker efect of this "negative" aspect?
Also my Sun is in opposition witn my ascendant, with an eventual square between the Moon and the ascendant. Generally am I somehow "cursed"?

Since the Moon is separating and weak in strength. If the Moon was at 85 to 87 deg., this is a super strong aspect since the Moon is applying to a perfect aspect. Separating aspects are things that have come to pass.
Sun oppo. Asc is more a personal aspect as to character and health issues. As for the double square and opposition, a planet in Cancer would act as a release.
This is not as bad as you think . The opposition is a tendency to do act one way, and then the other; it symbolizes a conflict between an internal energy and an apparently external one that one fails to see in oneself.
The two planets stare at each other from opposite sides of the wheel, which can create inner tensions between the two energies. It creates a push – pull effect on the planets. It is a difficult aspect, the goal is to become aware and learn how to utilize the energies to create a balance.

So, you are not cursed yet. Wisen up and understand that squares and oppositions builds a super strong character. Trines and sextiles create lazy people who accomplish nothing.
