To be totally honest, to get along with some one, it has NOTHING to do with what sign they are. They either get along or they don't.

Sorry, this is presumably the scientific age. The Zodiac and the month you were born play no part in the reality of your circumstances. Your "sign" has no bearing on your character.
A female Cancer and an Aquarius male, will have serious problems together. When I was with an Aquarius, I made him feel suffocated, and I was so desperate for approval from him that I made him crazy. I had to change who I was in order to keep him happy. In the bedroom, we had so much fun together but other then that there was nothing substantial to our relationship. I do not know about female Aquarius and Cancer male, but that has been my personal experience.
Of course they can. I am a trained astrologer, and one of my Astrology books says that any two Sun signs can have a wonderful relationship. Some cheap books say signs of the same elements are best together, but that is immature nonsense. Synastry is the part of Astrology that figures compatibility, and it is more complicated than looking at Sun signs. Easy answers never work.
the person who answered before me is Not a trained astrologist or they would know that cancer's and aquarius' are water signs, not sun signs. Duh, aquarius- aqua-water. i have read that cancer and aquarius can get along in a friendship well but more than that you are likely to run into the problems previously mentioned such as lack of trust or neediness from the cancer and more aloofness from the aquarius.
I dated an aquarius male and boy, was he ignorant. (Not Aquariuses in general, just his ignorant @ss.) It seemed that he was always wanting to be right. We would argue endlessly about NOTHING b/c he just wanted to have his say. Eventually, I got tired of his need to be right all of the time, just like he got sick of me wanting to prove him wrong. I'm an aquarius and I have never liked any other cancer I've met in a romantic way. They work great as friends, but they're far too emotional and needy for my taste. I'd say just go ahead and try it out! You'll never know what could have been if you never try. Don't let astrology stop you from doing what you want to do. Best of luck!
