I think that question can only be answered if you try to study it yourself and observe the people around you. I have personally found many answers in astrology and I have tended towards vedic astrology.
I do believe that our lives are written out somewhere and that we cannot escape certain events or energies that affect us. I also believe that people are born different and some luckier than others and the stars have shown how this is all predicted by time of birth. I've yet to do more research myself on this, but if you are really that interested I suggest looking at vedic astrology.

On the other hand you can see this is a self fulfilling prophecy where we become what we think, expect and read however astrology has also correctly predicted the characteristics and outcomes of people who do not believe.
I think so, I used to be so against that type of stuff until I did one of the personality profile things, and almost everything it said was so on point, it was so me, my friend's profile was pretty correct too. The compatibility things are amazing, the friend matches are almost always right, like who's a good match and who to avoid, I love them. So for me astrology is a keeper.
